Chicks.........

Look closely............
Mumma chook hatched out one chicken so we went to some friends and got 8 more and stuck them under in the dark.........she mostly thinks it is a good idea......we've got thru 2 nights.....i'll try and get some better photos of the chickens..........she had one black one but now she has a collection............2 each of silkies, barnevelders, white rhode island reds and gold lace wyandottes
Catch you later..............

Chicks are so cute, we have four tearing around the chook yard at the moment. I agree with Fiona, Mummy is gorgeous.

How cute they are, with mother hen being a black & white beauty herself. I can remember the anticipation of waiting for the chickens to hatch!

Mama Chook is one very classy chicken. Sounds like you've given her a real multi racial brood to take care of can't wait to see what they all look like when they grow a bit.

Cute chicks, how nice to have spring babies! Gorgous iris, mine are all shades of purple, but looking for some other colours. Love the machine applique, your work is so neat and what a great pattern. Hope you get some rain soon...after my Dad and brother come through NSW today though, so they dont get bogged!
