What a cutie, Gemma loves lizards and for a long time wanted one as a pet. Tell Fairy girl I received her lovely card today.

You have some interesting wildlife around you. But I guess there is a pay off because you have much more deadly creatures than we have.

I am scared to death of snakes. I can handle anything else but not snakes. That lizard is really cool.

Do you really have lizards like that at your place? We only have blue tongues and tiny little black ones - What are those ones called?

How interesting, wondering how big it is. Thanks for pointing us toward new bloggers, it's always fun checking them out and saying welcome.

Eeeeewwwww!

If I stepped out my back door and saw that creature, I turn right around and flee back indoors never to set foot out again!

As you've probably noticed, I don;t do bugs or prehistoric looking creatures very well. House flies are about all I can handle and even those not very well.

Great photo Donna, I had a different sort of lizard in the backyard last week which had lots of thorny type things on his/her back. Didn't think of getting a shot of it.
Happy days.

OMG is he real? Where do you live so I do not move there by mistake. I'm not normally scared of animals but he is a tad big & spikey!

Wow...my boys would love living next door to you and this not-so-friendly looking guy!!! We only see these creatures at the zoo!

reabGood grief.... what kind of lizard is that and how big. You must be a brave and dedicated photographer to get so close to that guy... or do you have a very long zoom lens. He looks ready to pounce. Just the photo scares the pants off me. Cool though! Glad there's nothing like him wandering around Scotland.

I'm really glad NZ does not have your lizards running around! Not sure I would go outside if I saw him!!
Happy stitching, Michelle.

Funny you have posted that photo cause yesterday my powder puff dog ( i should't call him that but he is part poodle so he is fluffy )had a blue tongue bailed up in the back yard, i dragged him inside i would hate for the lizard to be injured he does such a good job with the snails

I love the way your lizard is making himself look so ferocious. I've never seen them do that before. I've just visited Patricia's blog. She is off to a fine start with such lovely photos.

Holy Cow -- you have some amazing critters down there. I think I'd be scared on a daily basis!

It's just wrong to have any animal on earth that could appear at the back door like that! I would have had to make a wardrobe change I think - of the undergarment variety. lol

That would have given me an awful fright

We don't have lizards like that here in the south....just little drop tails, goannas and those horrible brown snakes....

Cheryl said...

WOW, that is one incredible lizzard! Off to visit the new blogger.
